one silly idiot was either being emo or trying to elicit a response fr me 2days ago by saying she had cancer and was dying and asking me what i'd do. i told her i'd be omg-ing first, caught in disbelief. then after that i'd ask for the details and then i'd encourage her or smth. and she emo-ed and went offline. tsktsk.
thinking abt it some more, its really depressing to know that children as young as 5 have to go through chemotherapy and suffer that much. what wrong have they done to deserve such pain? relating older people with cancer ain't as hard to swallow as a younger child having cancer. not that cancer is okay when older people have it. its equally as sad especially when its someone you know. but you get what i mean.
i knew of someone who had cancer (leukemia?) when i was in primary school. unfortunately, she passed on in primary 5 or 6. although she had cancer but i dont think i ever saw her being depressed or anything. i talked to her and she seemed like any other primary school kid. even though i may not have known her that well, i can't help but feel remorseful. fate can be cruel.
dying at such a young age. one could only wonder how they would grow up to be. while we are out here having fun and complaining about studies, they fight for their life, endure hours of suffering and face uncertainty towards their future. being so young and knowing they could go any day. that isn't something a 5yr old child should go through.
