oral. pls do not think dirty. you know wad i mean..
reading aloud. its ok except for a few slips every now and then..
picture discussion. lol. i managed to answer the question quite well. this picture shows a maid agency. the maids are all lined up in an orderly manner and awaiting their chance to cook. they probably have just arrived in singapore to find a new job as a maid and are undergoing training to improve their culinary skills. this is to ensure that their employers will be satisfied with them and also lead to fewer cases of employer's sending their maids back cuz they cant cook or do other trivial matters. the maids are all very enthusiastic about the cookery class. the maid at the wok seems to a bit apprehensive about the entire situation. i think that this is her first time cooking. furthurmore, her body posture tells me that she dare not stand too close for fear that the oil may splash onto her. on the other hand, the other maids standing behind her, although like her are a bit apprehensive, i can see that they are eager to learn and pick up tips. they are observing what the maid at the wok is doing now and probably hope that this will help them later when they cook the food themselves. then i went on to blunder on how "modern" the kitchen is by contrasting it with charcoal stoves of yesteryear. and yes. i made a fool out of myself by giving a dumb analogy on the preservation of food. i had morethings to say. but what i had wanted to say simply vanished the minute i sat on that ever so cold chair.
conversation. this sucks. first qn. what course might you consider taking in college or universities? first. i ask, college as in junior college? *pauses a few secs* then i sart by talking about the new jc curriculum. about having to take a contrasting subject. [why didnt i elaborate?!?!?! cud have said why the govt was doing this and blablabla] but anyway, i said that this allows us to broaden our knowledge and diversify our areas of study. ok wad did that last sentence mean? haha. i said tt. wad i meant was rather than maving singaporeans be soley just be science students or arts students, this allows student to be more understanding towards their contrasting suspect and make them in a way, more human in a sense that they can better appreciate the arts. then i went on to say i would like to study econs, chem, maths and geog. then i became HUMBLE. lol. and said that i was not as capable in other subjects as i am in these few. and they SMILED. OMG sadistic. then i said i would like to take econs cuz it is a new subject and i find challenges appealing. this is so egoistic. furthermore, taking a new subject will allow me to learn new and much more interesting things.
second qn. do you think some jobs cater to specific grps of people? something like that.. my answer was YES and NO. later u will see why i so pek chek. i stared with.. outgoing and outspoken people. they suit jobs such as lawyers, ministers and paliament spreakers. for these people have to have the confidence to speak up and express their views clearly. and yadda yadda yadda. then contrast with less outspoken. office jobs where they do not have to mingle with too much blablabla and where they can have a much more relaxing and slower pace of life. then i went on to people who enjoy stress and those who do not. then i went to say some people thrive on strees. its drives them on to achieve greater heights. then i said entreprenuers are one such groups they are budding talents and look forward to stress to help them seek greater accomplishments. *stopped for 1 sec* examiner: "ok thank you." i wanted to say those who do not like stress and i also wanted to say the NO part of this. that some people are not born like that but their environment shapes them into having such aspirations. in addition, some people, although at first , are not suited for a job, thier perseverence eventually alnds them in that job. therefore BLABLABLA. really pissed off at myself. dang.
