GOLD WITH HONOURS
ok.. so they day began early... woke at 5 plus.. took taxi to sch, carrying a 2 huge bags of 25 loaves of bread... at band rm, all the girls were in the office braiding their hair.. so set inst.. polish inst in 15 min... lol.. thne a key spoilt.. lol.. but repaired it in the end.. haha.. so smart rite me??
so warm up lo.. then carry our files.. and everything.. board the bus to SCH.. a lot of ex swiss winds [aH mA!!!]came to support.. [all pon sch] haha... thx guys.. so anyway, reached SCH a lot of weird band uniform =x.. so hung around slacking and the pressure was mounting.. haha...
fell in the the concourse area or wadever.. then walked up to the tuning room.. NERVOUS.. sounds nicer there than the ever so dry bandroom.. =x went to wait for our turn outside the hall.. even more nerve wrecking..
OUR TURN.. we walked onto the stage.. looking rather serious?? waited for mr chew to come b4 seating ourselves.. nervous.. so started with rhapsody.. first bar... thoughts rushed into my mind.. was thinking of december 29th.. lol.. thinking of how this wud be my last perf.. ok then when reached bar 9 these thoughts dissipated and i just played..

this time, the nervousness was gone.. maybe we were used to it or sumthing.. played it through... up till the end of the 2nd movement.. could hear that we werent together with the saxes on our entry on those few isolated notes.. so we went into the 3rd movement... it was sorta out of tempo during the first few bars.. but was ok when we reached 10 bars later.. ie 198?? we went of the stage.. dunno wad to think..
we went to fall in outsdie the SCH to wait for bus.. juniors said tt we sounded great.. but i din know wad to think..
so the rest went back to SCH awaiting our results tt would be announced some time before 1.. oni the council members, miss seah, miss lim and our ex swiss stayed for the results.. at about 1240 the hall was silent.. then the announcer came.. "is there any school who left their tuba case?? although syf is over but u still need to pack your inst.." the whole hall burst into laughter.. the person who went up to claim must have felt very malu.. =x so silence was upon us once again.. lol.. everyone was holding each other's hands tightly and miss lee shu fen call me so many times to bug me... so i ignored her la.. haha.. "band no 121 chong boon sec.. GOLD, band no 122 - 126.. no golds.. 130 was approaching.. so scared.. then it was band no. 127 - raffles girls school.. GOLD WITH HONOURS.. they were screaming.. omg 3 more bands... nerve wrecking.. then the announcer began.. "band no. 130, one three zero, swiss cottage secondary school, [silence] GOLD WITH HONOURS!!!" omg was feeling hyper elated [this phrase borrowed from lily's e-mail -.-] din know was to say.. everyone was screaming with joy.. joce was already crying.. her eyes so red.. lol... everyone was hugging each other.. incl me.. haha.. so happy.. din know wad to say.. at a total lost for words.. u shud have been there.. despite all the weird stuff happennig this syf, we managed to pull through.. yeA..
anyway, heard tt at school the peeps in the band room were screaming and some went outside to scream until mr seng scolded.. now the whole school knows.. lol..
so we walked to raffles mrt lo.. ms seah bought standard tickets for those who din bring theirs.. [like our 2nd mother.. well.. 3rd for me] lol.. jokin..
so we went back.. on the train listened to the recording of scooting on zhixian's mp3 player.. nice nice.. i want the recording!! haha.. we rocked the hall and kicked arse.. walked back to school.. happy happy happy.. hahaha..
so kenny and company went to play bball somewhere near sch and i went to sort of eat with jolene audrey and natassia.. haha.. hungry wad.. then after tt went home.. cuz later at 7 gotta meet pple at causeway for seoul garden.. which i will blog about later...
ok.. so now.. i dunno wad to think.. i am out of the swiss winds.. hmm.. if i cud change one thing, i wud probably have worked harder and smarter at playing my inst.. well.. whats done is done.. all the best for syf 2007 yea?? keep up the legacy of the swiss winds... 4 syf straight all gold.. let there be a fifth!!!
